About Jack Ryan

Paralyzed to Peaks:

The film

P2P details the first paralyzed ascent of Mount Whitney in August 2021 over 42 miles of mountain passes and the highest peak in the contiguous US.

In partnership with Vincero, Mammut, and Atmosphere Films.

They say go to the mountains and you’ll find your therapy. I think this is fairytale bullshit. One does not find themselves or solve their issues upon that of a 14,000 foot peak. One find themselves in the war of attrition against gravity. In the war of attrition against a terrified mental.

The war is won not on the peak. The war is won in the slog of the approach. The slippery scree fields. The post holing of deep snow. The throbbing of quads.

And in the desperate breaths of thin air.

Therefore,

I am a mountain of a man.
